February Card Challenge, Day 10

Today I used another of Nancy's Mystery Card events. This one was from February 2022 and had one easy design and one a little more intricate. I mis-cut the cardstock for my Card 1. I cut the cardstock to the sizes I should have cut the DSP, which then meant that I had to cut the DSP a little smaller than intended. But it just meant the pieces are a tiny bit smaller on the card. No big deal. Also, I changed the orientation of one of the pieces of DSP from the original instructions, but, again, no big deal. I have provided the (correct) measurements below for my take on Nancy's card.

Card 1

The DSP panels are slightly smaller

Card 2

This one has the correct dimensions

Both of these cards used the He's the Man Designer Series Paper and some of the die-cut embellishments, so much easier than stamping, colouring and cutting. Sometimes I enjoy doing that, but it's nice to have an option.

Measurements

Coloured Cardstock scored in half for card base: 14.9 x 21 cm (half A4)

Basic White Cardstock: 10 x 14.4 cm (for inside the card), plus a scrap for stamping

Designer Series Paper (subtle pattern): 5 x 13.9 cm

Designer Series Paper (pattern 2):  5 x 12.4 cm

Designer Series Paper (pattern 3):  8,5 x 10 cm

Coloured Cardstock (different than base): 5.5 x 14.4 cm; 5.5 x 12.9 cm; 9 x 10.5 cm

Instructions

Adhere the various pieces of DSP to the matching pieces of coloured cardstock. Stick them to the front of the card base and add your image/sentiment/embellishments.

Card 3

Card 2

These cards used the Day at the Farm Designer Series Paper (that's currently FREE with a $90 purchase). I used the Elephant Parade Stamp Set as well.

Measurements

Basic White Thick Cardstock, scored in half for card base: 14.9 x 21 cm (half A4)

Designer Series Paper: 7 x 14.9 cm

Basic White Cardstock: Scrap, for stamping

Coloured Cardstock: Scrap, to use as mats for stamping

Instructions

1. Cut two strips from the DSP measuring 1.5 x 14.9 cm.

2. Adhere one strip on the right side of the card front and set aside the other strip.

3. Adhere the remaining portion of DSP to the left side.

4. Adhere the second strip between the other two, positioned wherever on the card front.

5. Stamp/colour/cut an image and a sentiment and trim the Basic White Cardstock to size.

6. Create a coloured mat for the stamped pieces, if desired.

7. Adhere as desired.

Thanks for some pretty cards, Nancy. More of Nancy's cards later.

See you all tomorrow.

Happy crafting.
